Mike Smith

Mike is a native of Ohio where, over the years, he established himself as a folk artist and achieved national recognition for his whittled pieces, sculptures and bas relief profile portraits. He attended the Columbus College of Arts and Design on a Special Student scholarship. Mike was certified by the State of Ohio to teach woodcarving and taught art and woodcarving in seminars in the public school system. Mike and his wife Marthe have been in the Kernersville area for the last five years and he is now establishing himself in North Carolina. Telephone: 336-644-0210
