Diane Nations
Creative expression in the visual arts has continually played a significant role in my life. Art was my favorite class in school and in my youth, I actually won a few community art awards. During most of my adult years, I channeled my creative energies into parenthood, family and my career as a Commercial and Residential Interior Designer. As demands in those areas have declined, opportunities have opened for me to direct my energies into the visual arts. My primary medium is oil, but I never limit myself to one approach. Experimentation is my primary teacher. Creating art is a spiritual practice and a form of meditation. My best works have emerged when I have allowed myself to get out of the way and be present in the now of the creative process.
